Sharon M. Morgan, age 79, of Pullman, died on Saturday, October 15th 2016 in Pullman, WA. She was born October 5th, 1937 in Middletown, Ohio to Roy and Harriet Smith. She was a 1955 graduate of Middletown High School and attended both Xavier and Miami Universities. On June 30, 1962, she married Cyril Morgan and together they had 3 sons, Patrick, Sean, and Matthew.
Sharon worked in personnel for Armco Steel where she met Cy, then later, personnel for JC Penney, and then public relations for the American Heart Association in Cleveland, Ohio. She volunteered for numerous organizations while raising a family, including the Parent Teacher Association as a local coordinator and legislative committee member. Sharon also led the University of Colorado Faculty Wives, organized the Pullman Memorial Hospital Garden Fair, led the Pullman Distinguished Young Woman (Jr. Miss) Program, and worked as a local elections official. She also enjoyed her time working with the Catholic Daughters.
Sharon enjoyed trips to the coast, spending time with her family, doting on her granddaughters, and reading. She loved decorating and celebrating the holidays. Sharon felt comfortable around most anyone and would always greet you with a warm hug and a radiant smile. One of her best qualities was the ability to put anyone around her at ease.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Cy; her sister, Susie; her sons: Patrick (Katie), Sean, and Matthew; three grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, and Madeline, as well as her nieces Merry Lee and Anna. The family would like to request that any donations be made to the Pullman Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 21st, 2016 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 440 NE Ash Street, Pullman, Washington with a private internment following at the Pullman Cemetery. A reception will follow the internment at Sacred Heart Church Parrish Hall. Kimball Funeral Home is caring for the family.
