Stan J. Druffel, 63, of Pullman, WA, passed away on July 15th, 2026, at Pullman Regional Hospital. Born on November 15, 1962, in Pullman to Larry and Catherine (Meyer) Druffel, Stan grew up on the family farm in Colton, WA, and attended Guardian Angel Catholic School. A graduate of Colton High School, he was active in sports, including baseball and basketball. Following his father's passing, Stan managed the family farm alongside his brother, Marv. He was married to Laurilee Kramer, and they had three sons before later divorcing.

Over the years, Stan drove heavy-haul trucks, farmed with his uncle John, and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Whitman County before ultimately returning to the family farm. Stan was a passionate farmer, a calling into which he poured his heart and soul every single day. A true steward of the land, he worked long hours not only to operate the farm but to improve it for the future. He loved sharing this passion with family and friends, yet he would instantly set it aside to support them in times of need.

He loved his sons deeply, spending years coaching Little League and attending their sporting events. He cared profoundly for those he coached, striving to be an impactful mentor who taught character, work ethic, and a love for the game. Beyond farming, he enjoyed playing recreational league basketball and softball, attending auctions and concerts, feeding Chipper (dog), and driving through the countryside to check crops or explore new places. In his later years, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, whether on the farm, in Anchorage, or in Lake Stevens. He deeply valued his relationship with his sister, Joann, and her family, devotedly cared for his mother, Kathy, and felt immense pride in farming the land side-by-side with his son, Zac.

Stan was a member of St. Gall’s Catholic Church in Colton and was active in the Colton City Council and the Knights of Columbus in his early years.

He is survived by his mother, Catherine Lyon; his sister, Joann (David) Williams; his three sons, Ryan (Kaylee) Druffel, Tyler (Emily) Druffel, and Zachary Druffel; his grandchildren, Easton, Mickey, Layla, Camden, Hazel, and Decker; and his nieces and nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his father, Larry, and his brother, Marv. A Rosary/Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. Gall Catholic Church in Colton, WA. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Gall’s, followed by burial at St. Gall Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Volunteer Fire Districts 12 and 14.
