Obituary

Sue Brigham (72)
My lovely and loving wife, Sue Brigham, quietly passed away Saturday November 5, 2016 at our home in Pullman. Sue (Marilyn Sue Mosely) was born in Lawton, Oklahoma January 24, 1944. Although she was born in Oklahoma, Sue lived most of her life in Texas and considered herself a proud Texan. Her children, Debra Dwight, Denise Reichenbach, James Gary Correll, Mary Joann Sandoval, and Phillip Cory Correll were all born in Texas. However, in the winter of 2000, Sue moved to Spokane Washington after falling in love with the ice fog covered trees. In the summer of 2007, we met, fell in love, and married that December. In turn, she acquired two more older "children", Jeremy Edward Brigham and Christy Ann Brigham. At the time of her passing, the extended family included 10 children and spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Sue was a loving, compassionate, kind, and courageous person. In her 72 years, she battled through much adversity including 8 bouts of cancer but never gave up to despair and remained hopeful and planning for the future. One passion that we shared and helped her persevere in the face of such adversity was her love of animals (except squirrels that got into her fruit trees). Sue was very active in animal rescue and for several years she was the director of the Wichita Falls Humane Society shelter. Because of this passion, we have five cats, a very large dog and feed most of the stray cats in the neighborhood.
In addition to her other fine qualities, Sue was an extremely talented artist who created wonderful works in oil paint, ceramics, glass and gourds. She discovered gourds late but quickly mastered the medium to produce beautiful and inventive pieces of art with gourds. She also enjoyed teaching the techniques to others. Sue was open to new experiences and people and over the years, she formed many lasting friendships with a diverse group of folks across the country and world. In short, Sue was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA was entrusted with arrangements.
