Susan Lyvonne
Atteberry
Jun 23, 1948 — Jul 19, 2026
Pullman, Washington
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, Susan Lyvonne Atteberry passed away at the age of 78 in Pullman.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on June 23, 1948, to parents Robert and Vivian (Fields) Atteberry, she grew up in Tennessee, New York, Alabama, and Illinois.
As a child, Susan enjoyed rollerskating, singing, drawing, reading, taking care of young children, cats, Sunday school, artwork, and playing games. She also developed a love for playing the violin and being an artist, and sharing this with others throughout her life. From a young age, her relationship with God was very important to her and she carried that with her to the end of her life.
She enjoyed many summers during her youth with her maternal grandparents in Beloit, Wisconsin, where she later studied English at Beloit College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree.
She was a devoted wife and mother to her family, and raised her children for thirteen years in Canterbury, England, and for many more years in Pullman after settling there in 1983.
Her children, grandchildren, music, art and cats were her passion. She taught children to play the violin and created a vast collection of pen and ink drawings and paintings.
She is survived by her three sons: David, Matt, and Adrian; and eight grandchildren: Zoe (19), Ella (16), Wolfgang (13), Bowie (10), Paul (19), Luke (16), Cole (14), and Rachel (10).
She was laid to rest in the Pullman City Cemetery on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
