Obituary

Funeral services will be held for Susan Eileen Lincoln, beloved daughter of Jim and Mary Ann Lincoln, at 10:30 a.m., June 25, in Sacred Heart Church, 440 NE Ash Street, Pullman, Washington, with Monsignor Frank Bach officiating and Deacon Jim Evermann assisting.

After a short illness Susan passed away in Deaconess Hospital, Spokane, Washington, on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Born April 30, 1970, in Fort Collins, Colorado, she moved with her family to Denver, Colorado, in 1974 and Pullman, Washington, in 1977. A treatable brain tumor diagnosed in 1978 resulted in her visual impairment. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in her youth. A 1988 high school graduate, she obtained all of her public education in the Pullman School System and obtained an associate's degree from Seattle Central Community College and a bachelor's degree in social and human services from Central Washington University, Ellensburg. For several years she lived in Cheney, Washington, and at the time of her death in Spokane Valley.

Susan enjoyed pets, especially her most current furry companion, an amicable Chihuahua dog named Alice. Family and friends were appreciated by Susan, and she liked joining them for holidays and vacations. Planting and nurturing flowers, listening to music, crafting, and shopping were her hobbies.

In addition to her parents, Susan is survived by her brother, John Lincoln (Katia) and nephews, Alexander and Miro; uncles, John Penzien (Joan) and Jim Penzien (Phyllis); aunt, Patricia Dillion (Craig); nephew, Jake Lincoln, and his mother, Wendy Bertoldi; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim P. Lincoln, and grandparents, John and Nora Penzien and Arlene and Paul Lincoln.

Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Church in Pullman or Catholic Charities, P.O. Box 2253, Spokane, WA 99210-2253.
