IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tiffany Ann
Thompson
October 30, 1985 – March 30, 2025
Tiffany Ann Thompson was born In Roosevelt, Utah on October 30th, 1985 and passed away on March 30th, 2025. Tiffany was an extraordinary person who lived an exceptional life.
Tiffany graduated High School from Wasatch Academy, located in Mt Pleasant, Utah in 2004, as Valedictorian of her class. Tiffany continued her education at the University of Idaho, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Foreign Language and Literature, specifically in French. Tiffany spent a transformative year abroad during her Senior year of college where she sharpened her language skills, cultural knowledge, and personal growth while studying in Rennes, France.
Tiffany was a person who wore many hats when it came to her professional life, but the theme of justice carried through many things she did. She worked with Alternatives to Violence on the Palouse in both their Moscow, Idaho and Pullman, Washington offices as an advocate for survivors of Domestic Violence; in Portland, Oregon as a dispatcher for 911; a labor organizer with American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; and as the Workforce Equity & Technical Assistance Director for Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc. where she advocated tirelessly for advancing women in construction. Tiffany worked as the Project Manager for Construction Career Pathways at Oregon Metro before transitioning to independent consulting. Tiffany was a very talented public speaker, notably presenting as the keynote speaker for 550 union members at the Sisters in the Brotherhood convention at the Carpenter Union's International Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2024 she relocated to Rhode Island with her partner and enjoyed the adventure of expanding her culinary skills at Urban Greens Co-Op Market in Providence, Rhode Island where she worked up to the role of Kitchen Manager within a short span of months.
In every way, Tiffany was a vibrant, multi-faceted, and giving individual. She loved adventurous food, music, museums, ballet, board games with friends and hiking trips. One of her favorite places in the world was Portland's Japanese Garden where she maintained a membership. She joined community choirs in different locations over the course of her life, most recently performing with the Chorus of Westerly in Rhode Island.
Tiffany leaves behind a devastated community everywhere she lived and touched lives, but especially in her once chosen home of Portland, Oregon. She leaves behind her parents, Clay and Shawna Thompson of Albion, Washington, sister Tara "Eve" Scranton (Bret), life partner Haley Alves and their dog Izzy, cherished relationships with her cousin Chantae Grasse of Rock Springs, Wyoming, friends Adrianne and Melinda Wilson of Portland, Oregon, Amanda Headtke of Moscow, Idaho, along with aunts, uncle, cousins, extended family and countless friendships.
Tiffany is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Donnell G. and Doralda E. Brokaw, paternal grandparents, Samuel C. and Carolyn G. Thompson, Aunt Pam Brokaw, and Uncle Jeff Thompson.
Tiffany is and will always be deeply missed.
