Virginia Mae Permain Schneidmiller was born September 28, 1928 in Spokane, WA to Ted & Genevieve Haupt Permain. She grew up on Altamont Blvd with her brother Tosh and sister's Jackie and Janie; and attended St. John's Episcopal Cathedral. Virginia was a graduate of Lewis & Clark High School after which she began a 13 year career at Southern Bell (now ATT) that including 10 years as a manager, which was unusual for a woman in those times. Her family is very proud of that fact.
She met and married the love of her life in 1960, Virgil Schneidmiller. They made their home in St. John, WA. Virginia became a very active member of the community. Some of these membership/actives included: Honored Queen of the International Order of Job's Daughters, Wheatland Grange, Rummage Sale & St. John Float Committee, St. John Rainbow Mother's Club, St. John City Council, PTA, Whitman Hospital Building Fund Committee to mention just a few. She was an active member of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Colfax, WA and was the acting Secretary Treasurer for more than 50 years. Virginia supported many charities
Virginia and Virgil had 3 daughters. She loved her girls with all her heart and soul ~ they were her world. She also gained three sons in marriage. Glenda and Randy Scheideman, Gena and Denny Fitzgerald and Greta and Dennis White. Virginia was blessed with 8 grandchildren; Kaytlyn & Craig Willcox, Aubree Scheideman, Virgil Fitzgerald, Nathan & Anna Fitzgerald, Alex White and Hannah White. There are too many nieces, nephews and cousins to list including some across the pond and in Australia that have recently touched her heart. She was also called Mom, Gma and Friend by many more.
She went Home to Her Lord on April 5, 2018 and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A private family service will be held at a later date.
