WARREN JOHN TATE, SR., 94, of Pullman, died Jan. 2, 2016 at the Bella Vista Adult Family Home in Pullman, WA. Warren, known to most as Bunny, was born March 26, 1921 in Moscow, ID to William & Gladys (Neighbor) Tate. He grew up in Pullman attending Adams Elementary and then Pullman High School, graduating with honors in 1941. Warren was the first PHS Student Body President when Principal Gladish started the Pullman High student government. Following graduation Warren went to work on the family farm. Warren married Dorothy Nina (Brinkman) Parker on Sept. 15, 1943 in Bremerton, WA. In 1955 the family moved to Pullman where Warren has resided since. He worked for Bud Whitley in Moscow for a time following which Warren went to work at Jerry's Union 76 station in Pullman. He later went to work at Dissmore's IGA store where he continued until his retirement in 2006. Warren was a loving devoted father, family man, farmer, handyman and Mr. Fix It who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a member of the Moscow Elks Lodge and the Pullman Moose Lodge through the years. Warren is survived by his children Linda Tate of Pullman; Suzanne (Rand) Wood of Mt. Vernon, WA; Warren John Tate, Jr. and wife Devi of Pasco, WA; Kristin (Hans) Smith of Edgewood, WA; ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 1973. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at the Pullman Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA is caring for the family.
