WILEY LEE WILSON, JR., 79, a longtime Albion, WA resident passed away July 23, 2015 at the Whitman Senior Living Center in Pullman, WA. Wiley was born Nov. 26, 1935 in Twin Falls, ID to Wiley (Sr.) & Viola (Dalbey) Wilson. The family moved to Bonners Ferry, ID where Wiley grew up and attended school. He graduated from Bonners Ferry High School, following which he served in the US Air Force. Following his honorable discharge Wiley returned to Bonners Ferry and married Judy Fladeland in 1957. Following his graduation from Spokane Falls Community College in 1969 the family moved to Albion, WA when Wiley accepted a position at Washington State University in the Physics department. He spent his entire career in the Physics department at WSU until his retirement. Wiley and Judy later were divorced. In 1988 he married Jo (Craven) Nielsen and they made Albion there home for many years. Wiley enjoyed the outdoors and spent much time through the years hunting and fishing. He loved the game of Baseball and enjoyed coaching and watching games throughout his life. Wiley was a devoted member of the Albion community and always was willing to be there when work needed doing, or neighbors needed a friend. He was a longtime member of the Albion Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by his children Rick (Cyndy) Wilson; Ron (Brenda) Wilson; Rhonda Russell; two sisters Darlene Billingsly & Nina Loy; two brothers Dan & Harley Wilson; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Besides his parents Wiley was preceded in death by his wife Jo and the children's mother Judy both in 1997 and four siblings. A memorial service celebrating Wiley's life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at 2 PM in the Pavilion at Banyans on the Ridge in Pullman, WA. Kimball Funeral Home & Crematory is handling service arrangements. Memorial donations are suggested to the Albion Volunteer Fire Dept.
