William D. "Bill" Christian, 91, of Pullman passed away Dec. 8, 2017 in Pullman. Bill was born June 3, 1926 in Pullman to Ira & Dessi (Hatley) Christian. He grew up and attended Pullman schools. Following high school Bill served in the US Navy during WWII. He served in the Marshall Islands and was a First Class Boatswain upon his honorable discharge from the Navy. He returned to Pullman where he drove school bus for a time. Bill married Bonnie Lou Boyd in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho in 1952. Together they made their home at the family farm on Christian Road. Bill worked for the Pullman Grange Supply as a truck driver, retiring after more than 30 years of service. He loved raising great cattle and putting up good hay. Bill taught his children honesty, hard work and integrity which he carried on down to his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his son Bill (Kathy) Christian of Pullman; his daughter Ivy (Mark) Johnson of Benton City, WA; his two grandchildren Julia & Jesse Christian and one sister Helen (Joe) Campero of Pullman. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie; three brothers Harlan, Cork, & Wayne Christian and one sister Carol Kirkpatrick. Private family graveside services will be held at the Pullman Cemetery.
