William R. "Bill" Gould, 76, of Pullman, died July 17, 2016 at Pullman Regional Hospital. Bill was born Oct. 31, 1939 in New Haven, Connecticut. He grew up in Southern California and following his high school graduation entered the US Marine Corps serving until his honorable discharge after four years of service. After a few years he joined the US Army and entered the aviation program, becoming a pilot. Bill made the army his career serving two tours in Vietnam. He was stationed at Fort Rucker in Alabama during this time as well until moving to Ft. Lewis where he was stationed at the time of his retirement in 1978 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. From 1972-1975 he was a member of the Silver Eagles. Bill married Marian E. Schnell and together they had two children, later divorcing. He married Desiree Hall on July 4, 1990 in Ft. Lewis, WA and they lived in University Place and Skykomish, WA until 2009 when they moved to Pullman, WA. Bill enjoyed the theater, watching sports and listening to 50's music. His dedication and love however was his family and spending time together was of special importance to him. Bill was the head chauffeur of the family. He is survived by his wife Desiree of Pullman; his children Dana Gould of Las Vegas, NV; Marshall Gould of Bellingham, WA; Hunter Gould of Pullman and his brother Ken Gould. Bill was preceded in death by a son Lee Gould and his parents. A celebration of life service will be held at Banyans on the Ridge Pavilion, 1260 NE Palouse Ridge Rd., in Pullman from 1-3 PM on Friday, July 22, 2016. Kimball Funeral Home is caring for the family.
