William (Bill) Scotson - 74
Bill passed away peacefully at his home in Pullman, WA on March 24, 2018. He was the youngest of three boys born to Harold and Geneva (Evans) Scotson in Great Falls, Montana on Dec. 26, 1943. He graduated from Great Falls High School Class of 1962 and from the College of Great Falls Class of 1967. On November 28, 1964, Bill married Shannon Dacres of Walla Walla, WA. Bill worked for the Boy Scouts of America, Blue Mountain Council for many years before trying his hand at selling insurance with New York Life. While that went well, customer service was Dad's calling and he went to work for Safeway Stores Inc. for 32 years and retired in 2005. Bill moved up to Pullman, WA to be closer to some of his grandchildren and he then started a 10 year career, working up until his time of death, for Decagon Devices (Meter Inc.). He greatly enjoyed playing golf with friends and family and treasured his time on the course with his children and his grandchildren. He was also a very talented billiards player and teacher.
Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shannon; son and daughter-in-law, Chandler (Chad) and Helen Scotson and granddaughters Chanel and Lexi Scotson; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine (Kasey) and Reid Burbank and grandsons Drew and Alex Burbank; brother and sister-in-law Dave and Patricia Scotson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Richard (Dick) Scotson, and grandson Scotty Chandler Ryan Burbank.
At Bill's request there was a private family viewing in Pullman Washington at Kimball Funeral Home on March 26th 2018. There will be a private memorial service in Great Falls, MT at a later date.
