Obituary

William Joseph Loomis, 77, of Pullman, WA passed away January 27, 2021 at his Pullman home.  William was born December 17, 1943 in Paola, Kansas to Lawrence & Joan (Towne) Loomis.  Following high school Bill attended Western Washington College where he received his associate degree.  He served in the US Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971 as a Military Police Officer.  Bill married Linda Strandt and together they made their home and raised their family.  They made Cheney, Washington home until moving to Pullman, WA four years ago.  Bill worked in the Real Estate sales industry for many years, where he sold farm, commercial and residential properties.  He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Cheney and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pullman.  Bill loved to golf and was an avid bass fisherman, always enjoying the outdoors.  He is survived by his wife Linda Loomis at their Pullman home; daughter Christy (Michael) Gould of Pullman; his three grandchildren Nathan, Elias & Rebekah Gould and  three siblings Elisha DeMello, Penny Journey & Sandra St. Denis.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  A memorial service both in person and streaming on Facebook will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pullman.  The link to the livestream can be found at ebcpullman.org by going to the covid19update page.   Kimball Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Palouse Ostomy Support Group, 1155 SE Professional Mall Blvd. #421, Pullman, WA 99163.
