Wilma Jean Evans, 71, of Colfax passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Whitman Hospital in Colfax. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the chapel of Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax.
Wilma was born August 27th, 1943 to the late Tom and Stella Evans in Okanogan Washington. Wilma lived with her family until she was 3 years old and then moved to Lakeland Village where she spent the next several years. She then lived in several adult family homes throughout the years before moving to DreamWorks in Colfax Washington on December 13, 1999. Wilma had many friends over the years who she considered family.
Wilma was friends with everyone she met. She was a loving, caring kind hearted woman. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, macramé and joking with family, friends and staff. Despite her physical and mental disabilities, Wilma was the most loving, kind, compassionate woman. She never forgot a birthday or holiday and always had a gift to give to her loved ones. She loved to give to others and always expressed her love for staff, family and friends. She loved her staff, friends and family at DreamWorks.
Wilma loved her siblings Tom, Peggy and Patty. She loved to keep in contact with them and send them gifts. Thank you to all the staff, family and friends who loved and help take care of Wilma. Wilma is survived by her brother Tom and her sisters Peggy and Patty. She was preceded in death by her mother Stella, father Tom and sister Shirley.
